Salvador — Fundada em 2014, a Academia NALAP, originalmente o Núcleo de Letras e Artes de Lisboa, nasceu com a missão de reunir artistas e escritores lusófonos em uma confraria dedicada ao reconhecimento e à valorização de suas trajetórias.
Uma ponte cultural entre países irmãos, unindo vozes, raízes e identidades sob o mesmo compromisso: celebrar a arte e a palavra.
Foi justamente nesse território simbólico que J.H. Martins escreveu um dos capítulos mais significativos de sua carreira.
Filho de pais portugueses e cidadão luso-brasileiro, o autor sempre carregou consigo a sensação de pertencimento aos dois lados do Atlântico.
Integrar uma academia literária ligada a Portugal não era apenas um desejo, era uma necessidade afetiva, cultural e quase ancestral.
Embora pudesse ter tomado posse em Leiria, Portugal, no dia 27 de outubro de 2022, J.H. Martins fez uma escolha carregada de significado.
Optou por realizar sua posse no Brasil, no dia 17 de novembro de 2022, às 15h, no Instituto Histórico e Geográfico da Bahia, em Salvador. E o gesto, embora simples, revelou muito.
A decisão de assumir o título em solo brasileiro, sem deixar de honrar a herança portuguesa, simbolizou a dualidade que atravessa toda a sua trajetória:
“um escritor que transita entre mundos, que respeita suas origens, mas que também reconhece no Brasil o território onde sua voz literária se desenvolveu e encontrou leitores.“
A cerimônia, marcada por emoção e representatividade, reforçou o papel da NALAP como espaço de união transatlântica. E, para J.H. Martins, significou não apenas um reconhecimento profissional, mas um reconhecimento identitário. Era como se, ali, entre histórias seculares e memórias culturais, Portugal e Brasil apertassem novamente as mãos, e ele estivesse exatamente no centro desse encontro.
Integrar a NALAP tornou-se, para ele, mais do que um título: tornou-se símbolo de pertencimento e de continuidade. Um passo que consolida a conexão entre sua formação, sua história familiar e sua produção literária.
Com essa posse, J.H. Martins reafirma seu compromisso de representar e fortalecer a literatura lusófona, honrando tanto suas raízes portuguesas quanto o solo brasileiro que moldou sua escrita, sempre transitando entre dois mundos que, para ele, nunca deixaram de ser um só.
