Indaiatuba — Em uma noite marcada por emoção, reconhecimento e profundo simbolismo cultural, a Academia de Letras de Indaiatuba (ALI) realizou, nesta quarta-feira, 29 de outubro de 2025, às 19h, no Centro de Convenções Aydil Bonachella, a cerimônia oficial de diplomação de seus Membros Fundadores.
O evento selou a criação da instituição que nasce com a missão de promover a literatura, preservar a memória cultural e incentivar o desenvolvimento artístico da cidade.
Na ocasião, J.H. Martins tomou posse como presidente da ALI, ocupando a Cadeira nº 1, cujo patrono é ninguém menos que Machado de Assis, o maior nome da literatura brasileira.
A posse também se estende ao fato de Martins ser membro fundador, reforçando seu protagonismo na construção da nova casa literária de Indaiatuba.
A cerimônia reuniu autoridades, escritores, familiares e representantes do meio cultural. Entre eles estavam o prefeito Dr. Custódio Tavares; a secretária municipal de Cultura, Tânia Castanho; e o vereador Alexandre Perez, representando o presidente da Câmara Municipal, Dr. Túlio. Também prestigiaram o evento presidentes de Academias de Letras de outras cidades, além de convidados especiais.
O evento marcou ainda o lançamento da I Coletânea da Academia, intitulada “Ecos da Escrita: Palavras que nos tocam, histórias que nos constituem”, reunindo textos, reflexões e vozes dos acadêmicos, dando início ao legado literário oficial da ALI.

Em seu discurso, visivelmente emocionado, J.H. Martins destacou a força coletiva que deu origem à academia.
“Estamos escrevendo juntos uma página que será lembrada com orgulho pelas futuras gerações. A posse dos acadêmicos representa muito mais que uma cerimônia: é a celebração da cultura, do talento e da persistência de uma cidade que valoriza a arte e o conhecimento”, afirmou.
J.H. relembrou ainda o início da caminhada do grupo:
“Há pouco mais de um ano, 17 membros fundadores decidiram transformar um sonho em realidade. Sem recursos, sem estrutura, mas com imenso amor pela literatura, uniram forças, ideias e tempo. Hoje, somos 41 membros, 41 corações comprometidos com a missão de espalhar a cultura e valorizar a literatura em nossa cidade.“
Ele também reforçou o compromisso social da instituição:
“A verdadeira função de uma Academia de Letras vai muito além dos livros. É inspirar pessoas, promover pensamento crítico, defender a educação, valorizar a arte e transformar realidades.”
Apoio institucional e futuro promissor
A cerimônia contou com declarações importantes sobre o futuro da ALI.
O vereador Alexandre Perez, representando o Legislativo Municipal, afirmou o compromisso da Câmara em reconhecer a ALI como patrimônio cultural da cidade.
O prefeito Dr. Custódio Tavares reforçou o apoio da Prefeitura:
“Vamos trabalhar para que a Academia tenha um espaço permanente, digno e vivo. A cidade reconhece a importância da cultura como elemento de desenvolvimento humano. A ALI terá o seu lugar.”

A ALI inicia suas atividades com 41 membros, distribuídos entre fundadores, efetivos, correspondentes e honorários.
A Cadeira nº 1, ocupada por J.H. Martins, tem como patrono Machado de Assis, um dos maiores símbolos literários do país.
